SNCF is one of the world’s leading groups in passenger transport and freight logistics with the management of the French rail network, generating 35 billion euros of turnover per year (turnover before the health crisis) of which one third are international. Present in 120 countries, the Group employs 272,000 people, 210,000 of whom are in France and more than half of whom work in its rail core business. The new Public Group, born on 1 January 2020, is managed by the parent company SNCF, which owns five companies: SNCF Réseau (management, operation and maintenance of the French rail network, railway engineering) and its subsidiary SNCF Gares & Connexions (design, operation and marketing of stations), SNCF Voyageurs (Transilien, TER and Intercités, TGV unheard of, OUIGO, Eurostar, Thalys, Alleo, Lyria and distribution with OUI.sncf), Keolis (urban, suburban and regional public transport operator in France and around the world), Rail Logistics Europe (rail freight transport) and Geodis (logistics solutions and freight transport). Alongside its customers (passengers, local authorities, shippers and railway companies concerning SNCF Réseau) in the heart of the territories, the Group relies on its expertise in all components of rail, and more generally in all transport services, to respond in a simple, fluid and sustainable way to all their mobility needs.
