This forum aims to help companies understand and resolve the human rights dilemmas they face, especially in emerging countries. For each identified dilemma (such as fundamental rights at work, relocation of communities, access to water, freedom of religion, indigenous peoples, respect for privacy, security forces, etc.), it presents associated international standards, risks undertaken, case studies, practical suggestions and resources for companies.
(UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, 2012): Established in the continuity of the United Nations Guiding Principles, this guide aims to explain and deepen those concerning companies to help in their operational implementation.
It provides practical questions/answers, resources and tools on the themes of the Tripartite Declaration on Multinational Enterprises to help companies understand the content and application of ILO standards: discrimination and equality, freedom of association, collective bargaining, wages and benefits, safety and health at work, child labour, forced labour… It also offers a free and confidential support service available to managers
A wide variety of tools and guides are available, under the heading "explore our library", concerning human rights (and labour standards), classified in particular by functions: policies, risk and impact assessment, dialogue and engagement with stakeholders, training, reporting, complaint mechanisms, etc.
